TONY ONWU
Director
Tony Onwu is an investment banker with over twenty years’ experience in the financial services industry spanning Corporate banking, market and price risk management and corporate finance. Most of his career was with Citibank N.A where he left as a Vice President in 2002 to lead the resuscitation and recapitalization of Liberty Bank as a Managing Director.
Tony’s most recent engagement prior to returning to Nima capital were as a pioneer Managing Director of Diamond capital, Technical consultant to the Nigerian Presidential Adviser on Budget and subsequently as founding Partner of Nima capital Advisory Partners – a boutique financial advisory practice. Tony is also Chair and founding partner of Kimberly Ryan limited, a leading trans African Human Resources firm, Director of Stanton Chase international Nigeria and Director of Landmark Africa, a leading pan Africa real estate and property development company. Tony is an avid sports and arts enthusiast. He is a member of several local and international Golf clubs and a past Captain of Ikoyi Golf club.
